Just up Broadway, north of Union Square, inside ABC – behind the rows of elegant furniture which is priced on par with the local rent – is an incredible vegetarian restaurant. The location is very busy during peak meal hours, reservations are recommended.

The cold pressed juices tasted so fresh and gave a feeling of instant rejuvenation. We had the smoked tofu and shitake bahn mi as well as the market vegetable chop salad with sticky rice and avocado.
Salad and sticky rice don’t seem like they would go together at first blush, but the pair taste incredible, and the coconut milk balanced with slivered almonds surprises and delights the palate.

The bahn mi combines the French style baguette and mayonnaise with Vietnamese style tofu, shiitake, and pickled vegetables. The balance between the bread makes the sandwich effortless to enjoy.
abcV’s succeeds in its mission to serve, inform and inspire a cultural shift towards plant based intelligence, through creativity and deliciousness.
The flavors are paired so gracefully and delicately. You could devour the meal very happily or take your time and savor each ingredient. Very interesting flavor profile combinations are the norm here. Expect to be dazzled.
