Tucked away behind the gaudy trump tower on 5th Ave, you’ll find the best surprise you might have never known was there. The gilded elevators with the giant signage might give it away that this is not just any storefront or fancy office entrance. This is the entrance to the stunning Armani Ristorante.

Upon passing through the elevator doors, you’ll see that there are a number of floors. Yes, the restaurant is on the third floor of their 5th Avenue Flagship. You can take the street-side elevator like we did or ascend the glowing white ribbon-like staircase for a more scenic walk through their fashion collections. You will be greeted by the unsurprisingly well-dressed host and seated by the cascading floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city streets or in their modernly designed booths for bigger parties or cool-vibe VIPs. Next time, we will be sure to come back with a few more friends.

The menu is a very healthy Italian selection, peppered with a few heavier delights and a delicious (albeit lighter) dessert menu. Armani Ristorante is far from a purely vegetarian or vegan restaurant, but they do have a selection of vegetarian and gluten-free options. Ask to hold the cheese if you are vegan.

We had the burrata with balsamic vinegar eggplant and celery ribbons, the French Toast with apple compote, cinnamon and maple syrup, and a seasoned parmesan pasta. Dessert is a must and we had a number of gelatos and sorbet flavors ranging from basil to olive oil!

The changing menu of this place and the remarkable service and ambience will ensure we keep coming back. The meal will put you back at least $70 a person, so it’s not your everyday meal. Though, it is certainly one to remember.
