For such a busy neighborhood, Luann’s wild ginger was surprisingly calm and welcoming. This pan-Asian vegan haven located on Smith Street in Boerum Hill is the perfect place for both casual and intimate gatherings.

The spices and textures of the dishes here are unique and interesting. The portions are generous and are perfect to share. We started with the dumplings, then got the Black Pepper Seitan and the Yaki Stir Fry. It was delicious and perfectly complemented by the drinks we had.
They have an extensive cocktail list which everyone swears by, but we tried the homemade lemonade and ginger soda followed by the Thai iced tea and mango lassi. (Leaving cocktails for another night gives us a reason to come back.) Yes, their drinks are to die for, as are their interior vibes.

The dim lighting, excellent service, and soothing music make this place a must-visit – especially on those date nights where you just want to relax and have a good time. Our meal came out to about $50.

If you work in the area, don’t miss their lunch special for 10 dollars. They also have a beautiful garden patio which is open in the warmer months. What’s not to love?
