Whether you’re on the east side or the west side of island, VIV Thai has got you covered. We had the pleasure of eating at their 34th street location this time, but do check out their Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in “Little Bangkok” if you find yourself in the area!

This restaurant is our steadfast option for trendy, modern, and tasty Thai food in Midtown East. The restaurant is always clean and service is always quick. We regularly order takeout from VIV Thai, but eating-in is definitely a welcomed treat!

Our favorites to order so far are the Queen of Siam basil and the Penang curry. Most of our favorites are also part of the very affordable lunch menu – LUCKY US! The coconut rice is worth the upgrade. As for beverages, the Thai Iced tea was beyond scrumptious and served in elegant pitchers with concentrated tea as ice cubes – very creative and DIY-licious. Don’t forget to come back for the happy hour after work!

For a small, narrow restaurant, VIV Thai is very elegantly designed with cool colors and fancy flair. They succeeded in making a tiny tucked-in midtown space into a luxurious retreat, feather accents and all. A meal here will certainly lift your spirits and relax you any time of the day.
